In demineralization, cations in the feed water are exchanged for hydrogen (H⁺) ions and cations are exchanged for hydroxyl (OH^–) ions. The result is water: H⁺ + OH^-OH → H₂O. In general, demineralization IX systems are available in either two-bed or mixed-bed configurations.

DM (Demineralized) Water by AMR Infinite Technologies is ultra-pure water produced by removing dissolved salts and minerals through a two-stage ion exchange process. The system typically consists of cation and anion exchange resin units that eliminate impurities like calcium, magnesium, sodium, chlorides, and sulfates.

This high-purity water is ideal for use in laboratories, pharmaceutical industries, boiler feed, and electronics manufacturing where mineral-free water is essential.
